We are thrilled to share some fantastic news and updates with you!
Your support and participation continue to make Centre 64 a vibrant hub for arts and culture in Kimberley.
Here's some of the awesome stuff going on:
1. Oktoberfest Was a Hit!
Our Oktoberfest celebration was an overwhelming success! We were delighted to see so many of you join in the festivities.
Unbelievable Turnout: We ran out of food & beer but not fun!
Your enthusiasm exceeded all expectations.
Delicious Brats: A big thank you to Biscuit, A Place to Sup, for grilling the tastiest brats in town.
Perfect Pretzels: Stokes provided us with amazing pretzels that were a crowd favorite.
Outstanding Beer: Over Time Beer Works kept the good times flowing, even making extra runs to ensure everyone could enjoy their fantastic brews.
Your positive energy made the event unforgettable. We're already looking forward to next year's celebration!
2. Welcoming New Board Members
We are excited to announce that Roger Mitchell and Sharon Cross have joined our Board of Directors.
Roger Mitchell: Bringing a wealth of experience in community development and a passion for the arts, Roger is eager to contribute to our mission.
Sharon Cross: With her background in governance and educational administration, Sharon is a valuable addition to our team.

3. Exciting Developments: Outdoor Venue Coming Soon
We're pleased to share that plans are underway for landscaping and the construction of an outdoor stage, set to begin this spring.
A New Outdoor Venue: This space will provide a fantastic setting for concerts and live performances in a park setting.
Community Entertainment: Our goal is to offer more live entertainment options for everyone in Kimberley and the surrounding areas.
We can't wait to host open-air events and create more shared experiences under the sun and stars!
4. Strengthening Our Organization
Our Board of Directors is making significant strides to enhance Centre 64's impact and workplace environment.
Strategic Business Plan: We're developing a robust strategic business plan with the guidance of a Columbia Basin Trust consultant to ensure long-term sustainability.
Workplace Improvement: In our commitment to a positive work environment, we're engaging a workplace harassment officer to provide support and training.
EDI Training: The staff and board are currently undergoing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training. This will also be available to the community in the new year. Together, we'll foster a more inclusive and respectful environment.
Stable and Strong Leadership: With a dedicated and stabilized board, we're poised for growth and continued success.
5. LIVE@Studio64: Incredible Performances!
Shari Ulrich Concert Success:
We were honored to host the legendary Shari Ulrich, who delivered an unforgettable performance.
Shari praised our theatre as a beautiful, intimate venue with amazing sound.
Audience Feedback: Attendees were thrilled by the exceptional acoustics and cozy atmosphere.
Don't Miss Out: Upcoming Performance by Jimmy and the Sleepers (Nov 9th)
Jimmy and the Sleepers are renowned for their electrifying blues performances.

6. New and Ongoing Programs
We're expanding our program offerings to inspire and engage all members of our community.
New Programs:
Glass Fusion Workshops: Discover the art of glass with our new hands-on classes. Glass Club (Glass@C64) coming soon!
Art Ventures: A creative journey for artists of all levels to explore different mediums. All visual arts included.
Pottery Studio: Adding Courses! We are going to open up the pottery studio and expand programming, including open studio hours.
Drop-In Sessions: Join us for casual art-making sessions—no experience necessary!
Introduced earlier this year:
FLIX Tuesday: Enjoy independent and selected films every Tuesday evening.
Sunday Matinees: Afternoon screenings and performances for families.

Lorna and Suzanne present: “Walking El Camino de Santiago” on Oct 30th .
